Welcome to blueberrymoments!
Nice of you to stop by :‒)
I’m Corinna and this is my space to share my recipes for healthy foods
and a kitchen tale or two…
My life takes place in Austria most of the time, right at my roots, in the town where I grew up.
Once a year it is travel-time though :–) I go to Brazil with my husband, Douglas, as he happens to be Brazilian. That means three weeks of Summer, beach time, coconuts and the most amazing fruits :‒) Yeah, I know… hit the jackpot, right? :–P
In 2015 we shared our most amazing moment yet: we welcomed our son into our lifes, who fills our days with so much happiness – and our nights with quite some sleep deprivation ;‒)
Shortly after, the last family member (for now) joined us: Chico,
our very lively beloved somewhat crazy cat.
I believe that our body ultimately becomes what we eat.
No worries. I am not expecting that after devouring a big plate of roasted veges in the evening, I would find a sleepy carrot looking back at me from the mirror next morning in the bathroom ;‒) But it is pretty clear to me that our body can only work with the stuff that we supply it with, in order to function well.
While I was pregnant, this became even more obvious. To feel and see (my belly was getting so huuuge!) how this wonderful human being was building his body “from scratch”, fueled only by the nutrients that I took in with my daily meals. Doesn’t that sound like some kind of magic? Well, I suppose it’s the magic of life. And we do it everyday – take (most of) the nutrients that we need out of the food we eat, build new cells with them and so much more.
Since then a balanced, healthy diet was what I wanted for us, even more than before.
Based on real, whole food ingredients.
I do not want my tastebuds to miss out on any of the fun though. Neither my son’s or husband’s (and the latter is NO vege-lover…). Of course your taste experience is just as important! So I’ve got to make sure that those meals that I whip up in my kitchen are just delicious (even though (or exactly because?) they are healthy), before they are allowed out of my kitchen territory to conquer others.
Anyway, I hope you’ll have a good time around here!
Let me know what you think :–)
